71 Year Old Plank Record Holder!

I have a client who loves to say, “This is really really hard” so I then ask, “Is it too hard?” and he replies “I like the pain.”. By turning a negative into a positive he meets a challenge with a positive attitude. He will work through anything. He is one of the most impressive people in terms of how hard he works. He looks at everything as being achievable and it is. The mind will help you overcome any obstacle both on and off the mat. Enter your practice, embracing a challenge but manage it by how you approach it.

Betty Lou Sweeney, was overweight and developed a life threatening condition, after a two-year turnaround of positive changes to health and fitness. She started working out, lost 100 pounds, and at 71 holds the world record for holding Plank Pose for 36 minutes and 58 seconds. If Betty Lou started embracing challenges at 69 then there really is no time like the present.
