The Action of Intent

Its been so long since I wrote a new post so I apologize for my tardiness. I have recently started attending a yoga certification program at Laughing Lotus. This experience is one that I am so grateful for and its changing me beyond measure. I am not sure how to articulate how powerful it is to learn from some of the most respected yogis in the practice. I digress, let me get to the point, what is it to give a desire a voice – if its spoken aloud who hears it?

If you shout and hear it echo, do you need that echo to hear yourself? If you shout and nothing returns have you still made your point? The action of giving a desire a voice is in fact enough to put energy into motion. Offering a desire into the Universe doesn’t have to be boisterous or sonically played back to us. A desire deserves a voice whether it grand or quiet.

I am currently looking to give my desires a voice. I want to find a mantra to create space for new beginnings. I want to make my apartment a home and find myself settled. I am putting my intentions out there with the hopes of finding a mantra that will be the perfect one. It is a yoga school assignment to find a mantra and repeat it (spoken, sung, meditated or other wise). It is really a life assignment though. Can you find something to give your intentions a voice? Or perhaps devotion a voice? I will post my mantra once I find it.
